Sundre nurses stand up for safe patient care

Members of UNA Local 134 in Sundre held an information walk on October 22, 2013 to raise public awareness about the impact nurse layoffs will have on safe patient care in their community.
UNA Locals are planning to hold information walks in Grande Prairie and Red Deer this week.
On Wednesday, October 30, members of UNA Local 37 and 207 will hold an information walk in Grande Prairie from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. outside the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital (10409-98 Street, Grande Prairie). On the same day, members of UNA Local 218 will hold an information walk in Red Deer from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the corner of Gaetz (50th) Avenue and 32 Street.
Many nurses participating in the information walks will be wearing white to demonstrate their pride in their profession and their support for their patients and their families.
