Help shape guidance for preventing and managing health care workplace violence and harassment
The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) has engaged a research firm to conduct important research on preventing and managing workplace violence and harassment in Canadian health care settings.
The Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions has encouraged members of affiliate unions to complete the anonymous and confidential survey for people working in the health care sector. The deadline to complete the survey has been extended at CFNU’s request to February 20, 2026.
The survey will help create an understanding of resources, practices, and procedures health care workers are currently using to prevent and manage workplace violence and harassment. In addition, it will identify needs and gaps in current resources, practices, and procedures, as well as opportunities to develop new guidance and resources to address the problem.
The research, by JPRO Research & Consulting, is intended to support development of new resources and a new national standard to prevent and manage workplace violence and harassment against health care workers across Canada.
The survey should only take about 15 to 20 minutes to complete.
