About the Role:

We are hiring a Developer to join the UNA Information Systems Department. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing in-house applications, primarily a FileMaker Pro–based system called DMS (Data Management System).

You will work in a small, collaborative team with hands-on responsibilities across the full stack. DMS has been in use for over 20 years and supports membership, grievances, HR, member services, event planning, and more, with integrations including Microsoft Dynamics, Zimbra, and phpBB.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a mature codebase and learning new technologies. FileMaker Pro experience is strongly preferred, though work spans multiple environments including MySQL, PHP, iOS, Android, WordPress, phpBB, and Node.js.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Brings 10+ years of relevant experience in application development and maintenance
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Is comfortable meeting and working with clients on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Has experience working with and maintaining existing production systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and supporting existing in-house applications.
  • Designing and developing new internal applications to support business operations.
  • Writing code, testing, and deploying applications.
  • Gathering project requirements and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Providing end-user support for internal systems.
  • Assisting with server operations and deployments as required.

Compensation:

$56.78 - $60.55 an hour, commensurate with experience.
