UNA supports Alberta teachers in their fight for fairness and respect
United Nurses of Alberta stands in solidarity with Alberta's teachers as they prepare to take strike action on October 6. Working conditions for teachers are learning conditions for students and when it comes to the education of our kids and grandkids we should expect and demand the best. It's time for the Alberta government to stop playing games and negotiate a deal that shows teachers fairness and respect for the work they do every day in the classroom.
UNA members are encouraged to show their support for Alberta's teachers and public education at rallies in Camrose on October 4, Edmonton, Calgary and Lethbridge on October 5 and Medicine Hat on October 8.
