We have a Temporary Full Time Educator vacancy available in UNA's Provincial Office in Edmonton for a one year term.

Role Description
- The Educator plans, develops, organizes, implements and co-ordinates UNA’s complete program of education for its members.
Requirements and Qualifications
- University or post-secondary qualification in adult education is preferred.
- Additional training in industrial relations, nursing or sciences is considered an asset.
- Relevant experience in adult education program development and delivery.
- Relevant experience in labour relations/a union environment.
- Experienced with Office Suite, Apple products, video meeting platforms, databases, internet applications, and in-house programs.
Skills
- Service-oriented, able to work effectively with stakeholders (locals and members), colleagues, peers, assigned staff etc.
- Skilled at clear and tactful communication to all parties, verbally and in writing.
- Develop and facilitate training.
- Curriculum design with advanced skills in research, program development, facilitation and evaluation.
- Using training equipment (hardware and software) to deliver curriculum.
- Articulate and confident in delivering training to large audiences both in person and virtually.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education in labour education.
- Able to adjust style to the requirements of the audience.
- Consistent approach to dealing with workload demands and people you interact with.
- Working effectively with little or no supervision, minimal direction and frequent interruptions.
- Effective time management and organization skills, with demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of collective agreements, labour relations legislation, health professional act, Employment Standards, and other relevant legislations.
- Understands topical issues within the Canadian and Alberta health care sector and trade unions.
- Current Class 5 drivers’ license required.
