Open enrollment period for eligible Employees runs from June 13 to 27
The benefit changes listed in Letter of Understanding #18 RE: Prepaid Benefits are effective on the first day of the month following 90 days from the date of ratification – this would be August 1, 2025.
These include changes to coverage for massage therapy and diabetic supplies.
As part of the new Provincial Collective Agreement, AHS, Recovery Alberta, Primary Care Alberta and Covenant Health have agreed to an open period for enrolment for Employees who have previously opted to not enrol in the benefit program.
Benefit changes for Employees of AHS, Recovery Alberta, and Primary Care Alberta will take effect on Aug. 1. The benefit open enrollment period will be from June 13 to June 27. The Employer will be sending out a memo and Benefits Change Form to the Employees of AHS, Recovery Alberta and Primary Care Alberta who are eligible to participate in the benefit plan but have previously opted out. Benefit changes for Covenant Health take effect on June 1. Covenant’s benefit enrollment period ended on May 16. Payroll deductions will start on June 11, 2025, for Pay Period 12.
