UNA Provincial Negotiations Update #2

Important update from UNA's Negotiations Committee. Please share with UNA members.

February 15, 2024
  • Met with the Employers February 14 and 15, 2024.
  • Employer tabled ingoing monetary proposal for a 4 year agreement 2024- 2027:
    • Year 1: 2%
    • Year 2: 2%
    • Year 3: 1.75%
    • Year  4: 1.75%
  • UNA team indicated the proposed rates, in addition to not keeping pace with inflation, would leave Alberta $2/hour behind Ontario and BC.
  • Current language regarding preceptor premium but increase preceptor payment from 65¢/hour to $1.00 per hour.
  • Employer document available on UNA Website www.una.ca and UNA Negs 2024 Forum.
  • Next scheduled bargaining dates are March 5, 6 and 7, 2024.
