Vote to ratify UNA's bargaining proposals on January 31

ON JANUARY 31, PLEASE VOTE TO RATIFY UNA’S BARGAINING PROPOSALS

An important message for UNA members at Alberta Health Services, Covenant Health, Lamont Health Care Centre, and The Bethany Group (Camrose):

On January 31, 2024, all eligible UNA members will have an important opportunity to take part in the negotiations for a new Provincial Collective Agreement.

Details of the proposal will have been available for you to review at a meeting of your Local in January. On that day, there will be a vote by UNA members to formally ratify the bargaining proposals that were accepted by a vote of the delegates to the UNA Demand Setting Meeting (DSM) on November 23.

The DSM was attended by more than 700 delegates from all affected UNA Locals who met for three days to carefully consider the recommendations of the UNA Bargaining Committee.

If ratified by all eligible members, the proposals will become UNA’s “Ingoing Proposal Package” when negotiations with Alberta Health Services and other employers formally start on February 6, 2024.

UNA RECOMMENDS THAT ALL MEMBERS VOTE TO RATIFY THE PROPOSALS ON JANUARY 31.

➔ Voting will be conducted online.
➔ Watch for details of your January Local meeting to review details of the Ingoing Proposal Package.

VOTING CHECKLIST

Current UNA members will receive an email from Election Buddy on January 31 with a link to an online ballot and a link to a survey where they can submit their top three priorities for this round of bargaining. Emails will be sent to non-employer email addresses only.

✔ UNA members who do not receive an email can vote at vote.una.ca/
✔ You must have signed up as a member of your Local
✔ You will require your UNA Member ID number and PIN
✔ You can sign for a membership card or request a replacement card
✔ When you are ready to vote, select your Local Number from the list at the bottom of https://vote.una.ca/
✔ Enter your UNA ID number and PIN from your 2021 or newer Member Card when asked
✔ Fill out the ballot and submit
✔ Confirm your selection and submit
