UNA President Heather Smith asks: What help, and when, is planned by Alberta government? 

United Nurses of Alberta President Heather Smith has asked Health Minister Jason Copping to explain Alberta Government social media advertisements claiming “help is on the way” and stating the province is “empowering frontline workers to deliver healthcare.”

“We are concerned by this statement in your government’s latest advertising because it implies some actions are about to be taken, yet none of our recent discussions with you or Alberta Health Services have included any mention of this advertising campaign, or to what workplace policies or actions it may refer,” Smith said. 

She urged Copping to explain what specific actions are contemplated.
